X7 rendering speed. Slower of faster than X6?

Hello I am just trying to get a feel for who else may be experiencing a slower X7 than a X6.
Has anyone done a comparison with X6 and X7 with rendering speeds with same clips used in each program?
I was expecting X7 to beat out my X6 by at least 30% because of 64bit Hype.

All boxes are ticked on the acceleration and optimization choices and I have re-installed twice.

Project tested:
3 clips with 1 crossfade transition
length.......1min 55secs
file.............Mpeg4 1920x1280
size............217 MB

X6 took 3mins 31 secs to render
X7 took 4 mins 20 secs to render

my system is running in 64bit.... i7 965 @3.20Ghz, 6GB, 1TB, Dual GTX 280 SLI
( I hope I've given enough info)

any ideals or similar stories?

Discussed before and the net is that 64bit version may in fact be slower for some projects.
