First post. I did a bit of searching but didn't find what I needed.
I am running a downloaded (paid for on amazon) version of videostudio x6 with sp1. Running windows 7.
I have put together a slide show, with titles and a music track. Very simple layout. Pics, with transitions.
Everytime I go to the share button and try to convert to any type.of file (I have tried them all, mp4, avi, SD card, wmv) my system gets to 4% and hangs up. I have to shut down the program.
Any ideas? Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums
You do not give any details of the type of clips you are using.
If you are using Video, what type, right click the clip and choose properties.
Have you installed QuickTime, make sure you are running the latest version
Audio
If MP3 audio, the lame codec cam cause some problems.
Convert your audio to Wav.
If it fails at 4%, what is in the timeline at that point, try removing / replacing the clip at that point.
Start a new project and construct using the samples from the library, do you have problems rendering/converting those?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
You have given me a few things to look at.
I don't think I have quick time installed and that may be one of my issues.
As for the files I'm using they are all jpg. The music track I have to check the file extension.
