Install PSP on new computer
I bought a laptop and need to reinstall my Paint Shop Pro X3 but can't use the CD. My product is registered. How can I download and install without using a CD? I don't want to have to buy it again.

Re: Install PSP on new computer
Hi
I would install the program on the laptop there should be no problems.
Please read the EULA here:-
http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... ageCode=en
Extract:-
PAINTSHOP PRO, PAINTSHOP PHOTO PRO, PARADOX, COREL PHOTO-PAINT, PRESENTATIONS, QUATTRO PRO, AND WORDPERFECT THAT HAVE MULTIPLE COMPUTING DEVICES (E.G., STAND-ALONE COMPUTER, LAPTOP AND MINI/PORTABLE PC, TABLET), MAY ACCESS ANY OF THESE SOFTWARE PRODUCTS ON UP TO THREE (3) COMPUTING DEVICES IN A SINGLE ADDRESS AT ANY MOMENT IN TIME. HOWEVER, THE SOFTWARE CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED AND USED BY YOU ON ONE (1) SYSTEM AT A TIME. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED MULTIPLE LICENSES TO ACCESS AND USE THE SOFTWARE, AT ANY TIME YOU MAY ACCESS AND USE AS MANY COPIES OF THE SOFTWARE IN USE AS YOU HAVE LICENSES.

Re: Install PSP on new computer
Is it because you don't have a DVD drive on the new laptop? If that's the case, copy the installation files onto another computer and then copy them from there onto a flash drive to get them into your new computer. My computer doesn't have a DVD drive so I have to copy the files onto my husband's computer and then copy them over our network onto my computer.
Using Paint Shop Pro versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 16
Re: Install PSP on new computer
I have it installed on another laptop. This new laptop doesn't have a DVD drive. Now you're talking to an idiot when it comes to this. Should I network the 2 computers together first? Then where would I find the installation files?

Hi
Using the computer that has a CD Drive, place the installation disc in the drive.
If the disc auto runs to install cancel the process…
From Start – Computer –right click the CD Drive and choose Open to view the contents.
Copy all files to your pc, create a new folder to hold these files
Now transfer the entire folder to your second Laptop.
Either use a USB Memory Stick, or yes you can network both pc’s

Well that's part of the problem. I can't find the CD. I thought I could go to Corel and download then use my serial number to activate.

Re: Install PSP on new computer
Well you have a problem. To summarise, You bought a CD version of PSP X3 and have misplaced that CD. You are enquiring as to whether you can go to Corel and download that version and obtain your key from Corel and then install from that.
I just checked my versions which I have registered with Corel from X2 back in 2007 up.
I can only access back to 2012 when I registered my X4 and there is still a download link for that (although I did not test that).
So it would appear that if you did register your copy, they would only have your serial number on record and have moved on to later versions since .
You cannot expect a software company to keep downloads of all of its past software to download when you require it for say the next 20 years. There must be a limit and some companies even ask if you want to have a garanteed download link for the next 2 years for which they will charge you a bit extra.
I generally refuse that as when I download, I make a couple of backup copies in different places so that I will not lose it.
You may still be able top get X3 from some other sale sites such as Amazon, ebay, but no guarantee that they will work.
Looks like you might have to update to a more recent version - perhaps X6 if still available although Corel is now pushing X7 .
