Re: taking a snapshot X7 shortcut?
Hi
Welcome to the forums
Good point, a keyboard shortcut key would be useful, if you take a lot of snapshots?
There is a Record / Capture Option below the preview screen (the tape spool with the red dot)
There is an option to Take a Snapshot, but no quicker than using the Edit Menu.
Maybe add this to the X8 Wish List topic, I'm sure a Keyboard Shortcut would be best.

guess there going backwards because video studio 12 did have this feature... a button to press....no scrolling around ... if you have to do a frame by frame of 10 snapshots in a row this was very useful and fast
thanks for the response

Re: taking a snapshot X7 shortcut?
Hi Larry
The last version to show Take a Snapshot from the workstation appears to be X5, that was available from the Video tab, below the library.
Using this only allowed you to take a Snapshot in Clip Mode, I found this a little limiting, taking a snapshot in Project Playback mode will capture what you see on the preview screen and use the project frame size for the image.
The difference is more apparent when editing Standard Definition 16:9 video.
Using High Definition does not have that problem in capturing the frame size.
But certainly taking a shot in Project and Clip mode will be different, depends what you are after I suppose.
I have always used Project Playback and that is only available from the Edit menu.
But yes I agree a step backward in removing that option.
