Every day, during the afternoon, for about an hour or so I get the following General Error,

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
User forum already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections [1203]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
Anyone else noticed this problem when trying to open the Corel VS forum

Yes we have seen that error message in the past, many times, but not recently and certainly not today.
It is a Corel’s server issue, not sure if it is a regional problem as I know Ken can report this yet we in the UK are ok, and Visa Versa, more than not we all suffer….
If it persists we can ask Corel, keep us informed

I have been getting that error message several times over the last week but only for short time periods and then late at night (in Eastern Time Zone). I just ignore it and a few minutes later everything is fine. I have noticed also that the board is much slower these days. I have no such problem with other boards.

Like Trevor, I have not been experiencing any problems with the Board for at least a couple of weeks now -- as you may be aware, I live in New Zealand these days. As Trevor said, we have experienced both the SQL error and speed problems quite a lot this year and requested Corel intervention several times -- the latest of which we thought had rectified the problem, but apparently not for some.

I reported the error to the Corel server techs in Taiwan, and they say it is now fixed. Certainly working again for me, but would appreciate reports from others for whom it might still not be working.
