SmartDownload & Application updates

I just purchased the version 9 upgrade which I downloaded from the internet. I did the Smartdownload after installing. Does this process also update new applicatin patches, or do I need to install them independently?

There are two updates as of 6/13 that can be downloaded at http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs/vs_ftp.htm. They add support for Hauppauge and Terratec hardware devices. They can be applied separately if you have these devices.

Smart download only installs the additional components like the transition effects, filters and help files. The updates or patches have to be download and installed separately from the link jchunter gave. However, there's no official patch yet released for version 9 yet. The updates you see on VS9 page are for specific capture cards like Hauppauge and Terratec so that they may be supported and used with the proper capture plug-in in VS9.
