video clips missing

Post by Schwarzenegger »

I have just had my Windows7 system professionally reinstalled and now my external disk has been given the device designation of I whereas it used to be J .
When I try to run the project I was working on it can't find the video clips because it is looking for them on the J drive. I don't know how to direct the project to drive I or to change the external disk's designation to J.
Help, please.

When you run a project you should receive a notice telling you thet the video clips do not exist - not true - it's just that VideoStudio has lost track of them - the error box will contain a button labelled 'Relink' - clicking on that will open a 'Browse to' window to allow you to browse to the files on the new drive and select them.

Usually doing that on the first file in the project will relink to all - but if it does not you will need to re-link to the files again

Similarly with thumbnails in the library - clicking on them will give you the same error and allow you to relink
