[SOLVED] [X5] Select multiple segments from single video?

Post by Shohreh »

Hello

I need to edit a video track and only keep some segments.

I know how to set a single start/end points after importing and double-clicking on a video, but will VS5 let me select multiple segments, eg.

Code: Select all

1:25 3:30
7:53 9:48
10:00 10:38
11:52 12:57
13:57 15:04
etc.
Thank you.

Have you tried Split by Scene?

Split by scene — Automatically separates captured video into
several files based on changes in shooting date and time.

This should give you a rough cut and then delete the scenes you don't want.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Thanks guys. "Multi-trim" is what I was looking for, to edit a single video into multiple segments.

Here's a video on YouTube that shows how to do it:

Still wish Corel would replace the black background with some lighter so that we can actually read the texts in the dialog :-/
