Hi Richard
Sorry I don’t fully understand.
Are you saying that you have to remove frames from all clips to remove the static frames.
Or just remove frames from the first clip.
I do not have X3 installed so ran X4, I can render clips to Same as first Clip.
The resultant file only shows still frames at the beginning, not mid stream.
I have also burnt a BD Folder, that file shows ok, midstream.
Some renders do move the first frames but not in order, instead or 0,1,2,3 I get 0,1,0,1,2,3, incredible….
I think its about time Corel were informed. Are you able to report this maybe to Corel’s Facebook, at least you can report X7 Trial as well as X3
I’ll also try to report the issue, not that we have any more clout, but the more the merrier….
Now I'm off to do a few test shots

Hi Trevor,
@ Are you saying that you have to remove frames from all clips to remove the static frames.
Yes, this is correct. Every clip has to be edited at the beginning, otherwise the movie will freeze three frames at every cut in the final product. (you can see that also in my sample below).
I just did a test like yours (with the ducks). Three fragments on the timeline, rendered to one piece of new video clip, did put that one as overlay, also starting at 00:00:00:00. With me the frozen frames are also within the exported -one file- fragment.
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=9 ... =folder%2c
I already reported this issue after buying X3 and after testing X5. Now with version X7 I was hopeful for improvement... I got some help after reporting, but not as good as you did by testing and reproducing the issue. Thank you very much.

Re: Frozen frames X7
Hi Richard
Thanks Richard for that sample, you have rendered the three clips to MP4, so yes you will get those frozen frames.
Please render the project to Share Create Video file, Same as First Video Clip.
That will create a MT (AVCHD) video file, hopefully that will remove those static frames.
I did ask in an earlier post that you render to same as your video files properties, and suggested creating your own template using the make Movie Templates Manager.
I also agreed with you that creating a MP4 and Mpeg2 DVD file that there was the frames problem.
If you are intending to burn a Bluray Disc then you need a file with the same properties as your original videos.
Again Share Create Video File – Same as First Video Clip.
By the way rendering should be faster than creating the MP4
Why are you rendering to MP4?

Sorry, I took the wrong format. Indeed AVCHD doesn't reproduce the frozen frames after the beginning. Trying too much in one step ...
I did create my own template. I'll have a look some later, how that's working.

Re: Frozen frames X7
Because my trial-version has been expired I have to ask: is this issue still occurring on the timeline? Thanks!Flevobird wrote:Hi,
I just gave it a try: I downloaded the VS X7 Pro. In 2010 I bought version X3 but never used it serously because of frozen frames at the beginning of each fragment of video. I'm still using my Panasonic AVCHD camera and experience still the same problem wit VideoStudio ... each clip playing frames 1-1-1-2-3-4-5 etc.
Is there a solution known?
Thanks in advance.
Richard

Re: Frozen frames X7
Hi Richard
Using X7 the file 00006.mts shows 2 duplicate frames at the beginning of each clip.
But rendering to same as clip properties seems ok with no apparent duplicates after the first clip.
Your sample is identical to the ones I use from my Pana 900 series.
As I say I don’t have a problem as the final render is ok
I am updating my quick guides (link below) to use the latest version, basically explaining my workflow from camera to disc.
A lot of work still to do, I am sure you will be using a similar approach, but give it a read.
By the way what version are you using now?

Hi Lata,
Thanks again for your reply.
"As I say I don’t have a problem as the final render is ok":
- can't check that because the trial is expired.
"A lot of work still to do, I am sure you will be using a similar approach, but give it a read.":
- I'll read it at home ...
"By the way what version are you using now?":
- I still have version X3, but with the old problems in exporting to DVD and BR. So, I don't use that software anymore. After that I used Avid Studio 1, Pinnacle Studio 16, 17 and recently version 18. I'm tired of all the crashes and very slow working in 17 and 18 (64 bits!); I'm constant waiting for the program to react.
Version 18 should solve a lot, but doesn't, so I asked my money back and want to buy X7 ... also Corel. I liked X3 very much, but couldn’t export my projects well in that time.
Thanks again for your reply.

Re: Frozen frames X7
Thanks for help with my 'old case'. A few days ago I did purchase X7u and did start my PS18u project again (new) in my new software ... so far, so good. Nice possibilities.
Only missing the sound-effects from X3, but that's causing no problems.

Re: Frozen frames X7
Hi
Do you mean the Audio library content, the last one being S25 ( file a39.mpa)
The files should be here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\Samples\Audio
You should be able to import those to the X7 library.
