How to always see name of image I am editing in PSP X6?

Post by RedKnight7 »

Hiya,

I just moved up from PSP X2 to X6.

When I am editing an image, I don't see its name anywhere on the edit screen. Please tell me it's not really like this - please tell me what I accidentially turned off.

I am not asking how to see the name manually - I know about Shift-I for example.

I want the name of the image I am currently editing to be readily visible at all times.

Thanks!

Mike

The name of the image can be seen on the tabs, or on the mini-windows if you have tabbed documents turned off.

However, if you have tabbed documents turned off, and you maximize one of the smaller windows, then unfortunately the name is no longer visible on the screen. Again, you can use tabbed documents to see it in tabs, or it should be visible on the titlebar of the individual document windows.

Thanks LeviFiction, that's what I was looking for, something like that. I appreciate it!

Maybe they can handle this a little better in future versions (showing the image name).

Also, the X6 interface has a fair amount of unused space. I wouldn't have let the new Manage/Adjust/Edit tabs use vertical space (just say the mode on far right of menu bar) and also e.g. I always have the Tool Options up (F4) to see my zoom level, when they can more than fit into the unused space ion the right side of my current Toolbar. Some may say toolbars and palettes are apples and oranges but pfft, they're all just programmer constructs... and F4 wastes a non-trivial amount of vertical space.

Anyway. I'll get down off my soapbox.

Thanks for helping!
