Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
If you are having issues with PSPX7 it is important that contact Corel with these issues. If you don't, they can't fix them.
No matter how big or small, please contact Corel.
We like to know the problems you are having, but in the main, most of us are having the same issues and this is why it's important to let Corel know.
Some have asked how to get support from Corel. Everyone who purchases their products receives a 30 day help and support for free from the day of your purchase. Remember to register immediately after installing. You will receive email from Corel with your 30day free support. I suggest you use it.
In PaintShop Pro go to the Menu bar, click on Help, Corel Support. A new page will open for you to add Product. Next you can submit your question. Give as much detail as you can. It does say that you have to have your product registered before asking a question.

exactly. The online support doesn't have an option for X7. I assume Corel want to hide any bugs so people buy/upgrade?

I think I found a minor bug and would like to report it. Where do I do so? TIA
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
There are two avenues:
1) Buy a support ticket. You will be assisted by a support specialist, who, if they determine it is indeed a bug, will refund the price.
or
2) Report on Facebook

Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
I posted a query on Facebook, but there are so many messages, how do I know I will get an answer? Do you have a special FB page for X7 alone? I'm having trouble adding outside plug ins.

What plug-ins are you trying to add? Which version of PSP are you using -- the 64 bit or 32 bit version? Are the plug-ins 32 or 64 bit? I assume you realise that 32 bit plug-ins will not work in the 64 bit version of PSP...

Am I expected to pay then to report an error in the programme, and I couldn't see anywhere on facebook to report problems just a lot of messages from people not knowing how to use programmes
If Corel want this information why don't they make it easy to report
Why can't we report it here and some one from Corel can come and read it.

Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
When you buy a Corel product it is supposed to come with 30 days free support. In my case I received an email with a "support code" to use when filing a support request and, when I found a bug, I went to the support page and entered it. I also explained that the bug was X7 even though I had listed X6.
I have since received a couple of emails from support asking for information but the emails were sent from a "noreply" address and apparently cannot be directly replied to. I have had to go to the support page and add a comment to my bug report to get additional information to support. I suspect this is how Corel wishes support cases to be handled.
Hope this helps.

Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
Sorry I didn't explain further. I'm using 32 bit Version, Windows 7. I know plug ins won't work in 64 bit versions. Version of Psp is the brand new one X7. I just bought it. I'm just concerned, as I have X6 and all plug ins work, so I assumed (always a bad thing) that they would also work in X7.Ken Berry wrote:What plug-ins are you trying to add? Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
Thanks. If I had known that was there I would not have had to search through the Corel web site to find where to file a bug report. Some questions:trueblue wrote:I have added instruction on how to contact help and support at Corel within 30 days of your purchase, for free.BJC wrote:How do I do that please, could you give an e-mail address we should report to I don't see any thing on their website for reporting problems with this programme
Is there any way to correspond with the support people other than adding comments to the bug report? I always wonder if they will get my responses since they always send me email from a "noreply" address.
How do I, as a bug submitter, know if my comments on the bug report have been viewed or if attachments have been retrieved or if stuff uploaded to DropBox have been downloaded? This is not an idle question since it relates directly to an ongoing issue I have submitted as a bug report. I was asked for information but, if I don't hear from support, how do I know if the information has been accessed by support?
When does the 30 day support period end? I know that sounds like a silly question (30 days, of course!) but will the support continue past 30 days if the issue that was submitted within that 30 days has not been fixed? That is, if I submit an issue within the 30 day period and if, after 30 days, it has not been successfully resolved, will support continue until the issue is fixed? Or does all support end at 30 days, resolved for not?
Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
I have the version X7 purchased and the plugins do not work, but they all work in the X6.
Is to fix it? Have done everything there is in the help guide. and yes where do we go from here?

Re: Please Note: All PSPX7 Users
Hopefully to be read by some Corel staff: I was thinking to upgrade to Corel photo Shop Ultimate X7 but reading this post just scared me away.
I can't imagine to buy a product and then be asked to pay again to report some of their bugs... for the life of me, this is totally unacceptable.
If Corel continues with this direction, they will simply lose more and more customers.
PSP X7 Ultimate includes FaceFilter 3 by Reallusion: they should just see and learn from that company what does it mean "customer support".
Any reported issue is answered in 1 or 2 days, plus they have a steady interaction with people writing in their Forum.
Obviously at no cost...

Corel offers a 30 day free support period after the purchase of a product. For that 30 days you can submit a bug report and, hopefully, get it processed. After that I suspect you have to pay. I am told that, after 30 days, if what you report is a bug, then will refund your money.
I agree with you that this is a strange policy from a company that sells software to individuals since it often means that they don't find out about bugs found later than 30 days after purchase, but it is what it is. I suppose it is the tradeoff considering that Photoshop used to cost $600+ for the purchase and about $200 for the upgrade while PaintShop Pro is much, much less expensive.
