Hi I've been using VS6.0 for a couple of years, started on 4.0. I can assemble a decent vid with titles and effects. My problem is I can't make sense of getting a decent file size AND decent quality video. All the settings and formats are confusing.

What should I be doing to get my best, most compact video file that is suitable for an email attachment - something on the order of a 1 MB file?

I would try WMV with a size of 320x240, 256Kbps or so.

Thanks! Anyone tried Real System Producer, the free streaming video software?

No, I despise anything put forth by Real over the last few years.

FWIW, WMV files will stream, and you can also target multiple audiences (resolutions and bandwidth requirements) using a single file, all without having any special server software.
