Magic Fill for Scratch and Dust Removal
I tried using Magic Fill on an old photograph and found it could be used very well to remove dust, scratches and other blemishes. I selected a part of a background area and then used Magic Fill. I got some very good results and it was easier then cloning.

Re: Magic Fill for Scratch and Dust Removal
For what it is worth I have compared the Magic Fill functionality with the content-sensitive fill in Photoshop and found, at least for my use, that the Magic Fill is better at replacing the removed area, provided that the background is sufficiently homogenous for the software to be able to guess what to use.dsigman wrote:I tried using Magic Fill on an old photograph and found it could be used very well to remove dust, scratches and other blemishes. With Photoshop I generally had to do a bit of cloning to clean up the filled area. That seems to be less true for X7. Congratulations PaintShop Pro!
