UNINSTALL!

Post by Kevco »

Hello; I have just bought Ulead, but I already had the trial version on m PC. I used Control Panel Add & Remove Programs to get rid of the trial version before I tried to install the new one.

But when I try to install the new version, it just keeps saying you must unistall the trial version first! When I already have?

So at this point I can't get me new Ulead to install and I'm not a happy bunny :evil:

ANY HELP WOULD BE COOL,

I have already tried most idea's that were already posted within the forum. Like downloading the trial version again and running it, but that did not work either.

Some thoughts;

1. go to C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\ and delete the Cool3D trial folder and all its contents.

2. go to C:\documents and settings\username\application data\ulead systems\ and delete Cool3D trial folder and its contents

3. The next step requires running RegEdit. Running Regedit can be tricky, so if you're not comfortable with it stop now. If you're confident you can do this without messing up then continue.

Click Start\Run, type Regedit and hit Enter. In Regedit browse the tree in the left panel to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ulead Systems\ and look for the Cool3D entry. Select it then right-click to get the context menu. In the context menu select DELETE to remove the Cool3D entry. Close Regedit.

Now try again.

Terry, before you posted I contacted a good pc guy I knew and he told me the same thing you have. And your both SPOT_ON and it works no problem at all.

Thanks Terry for taking the time anyways m8, I think a lot of people who have used the trial version may get the same problem. So you post will help a lot of people out.

Thanks for me anyways buddy :wink:
