I don't see where anything has changed between X6 and X7 as the Vintage script and Time Machine work well for me.
I use several outside scripts and so far so good.
I am on Windows 8.1 with PSPX7. Apart from the bugs, it runs okay for me.
Perhaps you need to check your system and see if anything is preventing you running the scripts.
As for the DEP, yes, there is a problem for PSPX7.

Hi, Please can you tell me how X7 Runs under Parallels? I have X6 and have just changed to the new Retina iMac. My intention was to use PSP X6 with parallels or if thats not good enough, under bootcamp.MikeFromMesa wrote:raven4ns wrote:
Since software is generally released based on marketing schedules there is almost always more testing to do, but no time to do it. Add to that the combination of operating systems (Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista with its multiple versions, XP and so on), service packs and hardware and the problem is even more complex. For example I am running X7 on a MacBook Pro running Windows 8 under Parallels. I
Is it quick or lags, etc?

Re: X7 will not run scripts
Hi Steveatesh,
Greg Wood here (Corel photo product management). I'm running PaintShop Pro X7 on Windows 8 via Parallels 9 and am very pleased with the performance and in general runs great. Easy to switch between OSes, which wasn't the case with Bootcamp, my previous solution. There are a number of members of our team running this setup, so we do have an eye on the performance of PSP thereupon. I didn't notice any lag running 64-bit PSPX7 via Bootcamp or Parallels but then again you have a lot of computing horsepower available to you if you're running a Retina equipped Macbook! I think you'll be satisfied, especially if you go with the new Parallels 10 which I hear has even better performance.
Your Retina display will reveal that we have some work to do to better support high resolution monitors. PSPX7 will still look much the same, but you will need to be sharp-eyed to work with icons that will be appear very small. This is something we're aware of and working to address (its a big undertaking, but again, something we are working on).
I hope this helps. Happy PSPing

thanks very much for that, and yes it does. Whilst I'm still getting to know the iMac retina (first mac) I only made the move based on the grounds I could still use PSP via Bootcamp or parallels. You are right it runs fine and its quicker than my old i3 PC, even on parallels. I'm delighted to read you are working on the high resolution monitors, I've played and played with the settings and whilst i have the editing window big enough the toolbar running down the left hand side is tiny!
I'm living with it for now, I don't want to move to another photo editing software as PSP is so ideal for my needs.
I know it may be a guess but can you throw a crumb of comfort my way and say how far away the solution is please? Any chance X8 release?
On another note i tried your Aftershot Pro 2 and it is amazingly quick on the RiMac, you've done cracking job there thanks
Thanks for taking the time to write, I appreciate it. Steve

Re: X7 will not run scripts
Still running XP and PSP X7.
Have found that using the Instant Effects in Edit mode, I can access some of the Film effects, but three still crash X7.
They are: Box Camera, Early Color and Japan Style Nature.
