For those using Windows and PSP on a VM (for example, on a Mac with Parallels):
Today I purchased the X7 Ultimate upgrade and installed it on the Windows VM on my Mac. I will use it, in conjunction with my Mac based workflow software (CaptureOne for those who are curious) through Parallels. The interface works relatively well (although there is my continuing problem with the 64 bit version) and I have found X7 to be very nice - better at some things than the Photoshop CS5 Windows version I had been using.
One thing I noticed when I did the install of the "extras" is that FaceFilter, which is included in the Ultimate extras, will not install on a VM machine. This is not a big problem for me since I do no portrait photography, but I thought I should post this just to warn those who might think that they could use FaceFilter in the manner I am currently using PaintShop Pro and Perfectly Clear. The other extra functionality (Perfectly Clear, KPT, Creative Collection) installed properly. The entire package, PSP X7/Perfectly Clear/KPT/Creative Collection works very well on the VM.
It might also be worth mentioning that the Perfectly Clear version that comes with the Ultimate version of PSP is 1.7.3 which appears to be the same version currently available from the Athentech website.
