Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
As far as we are concerned, PSPX7 hasn't officially been released so can't help you.
Like all software, check the download, it may have become corrupt and try again.

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
My paid-for update of PSPX7 Ultimate simply will not finish the installation. I fiddled quite a lot with permissions, accepted all the suggested install locations (previously, I tried to change these locations to something that I want), but I still get an ERROR CODE 1303 that states I don't have the required permissions in the installation folder to complete the install. It stalls out now at 24%, rather than the 18% completion that I originally experienced. This is really frustrating. Please help--I'm not running the trial edition, but a downloaded paid-for install. I have downloaded a 2nd copy and had the same result. I even tried to use the trial version, but all 3 installation programs suffer the same result.
Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
I have download the latest version of PSPX7 and it still will not install.. Any suggestions?

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
These installation errors seem to be way too common on Corel software downloads- I believe Corel needs to modify their installation software to be less restrictive in permissions, and for those that get missing file errors etc., the necessary files should be included in the installation. That said, I always buy the boxed version of Corel software with the installation discs and I've never had any problems so far. Users shouldn't have to go through complicated steps to get the software installed.
Anyway, try this, from a Microsoft Community Forum- http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... b9659e31e3

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
I have downloaded the PSPX7 trial version. When I try to install the screen is tiny, without maximize control or window resize border. The installer inside doesn't continue neither accepting term. Only see this:

By the way:
- I have admin privileges
- Windows 7 x64 is updated (today)
- I have Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and there is no virus here
- WordPerfect X7 installer shows exactly same error
- I downloaded PSPX6 and same problem
- Other installers (not from Corel) works great
- Windows Install service works fine
Why only I have this problem with Corel installers? Any help please?

@ kath
This is not a PSPX6/X7 fault, but your system doesnt allow to run Javascript. It's your Windows user profile. Create a new Windows user with administrative access and it should work.

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
@i4laine
If the problem still persists, please send me as a private message your mail address or Corel customer number PIN.
We have noticed recently that there are indeed problems on some machines. The development is working on it. As soon as the new installation files are ready, I will send you an e-mail.
Thanks!
@kath
Did you solve the problem with the window?

Well, not exactly. I created a new user with admin privileges and installed PSPX7 to all users from there but I would like to solve this in my own user. I mean, I don't have any problems with javascript in IE or Mozilla. I don't completely understand the problem here.
Please, any additional help will be appreciated.
thank you Simone!

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
Hi kath
Doing the installation with a new user account is an advise that I give to all of our customers.
Normally, you can already reproduce the problem with your Windows user account when you open Internet Explorer and go to http://www.bing.com
Microsoft uses for these pictures JavaScript. In Internet Explorer, you shouldn't see the picture/video of the Bing page. If you open any other browser, you will see them.
Because Bing doesn't work, our PSP also doesn't work.
Reason is that in your user account, something has disabled JavaScript on system level. Internet Explorer is a system browser, that's why the picture/video as part of a script is not loaded.
A very few customers where lucky and solved the problem when they reset Internet Explorer in Internet Options in tab Security and Advanced. But this doesn't work in 98% of all cases. Most users solve it with creating a new Windows user account, but some of our customers have to reinstall Windows.
We have this phenomenon for a couple of years now and I have never found out what really hinders Bing to load the script. It might be another program, Java settings, ad-ons.
I hope this explains the cause of the problem.

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install
Hi Simone,
Well, this is very strange. I have IE (32 bits version and 64 too) with http://www.bing.com loaded and I see the background without any problem. This is exactly the same screen in Firefox.
When I try to uninstall PSPX7 the same tiny window says:
"Are you sure you want to completely remove [ProductName]..."
[v] Clear all personal settings in [ProductName]
That "[ProductName]" is very strange. I readed something about XML error, Java Security Local Panel and something related with installer software. I mean the software to create the Corel installer. It must have a solution somewhere.

Re: PSPX7 Won't Install

I also had indeed customers who were able to see the picture in IE/Bing. That's why I also think about Java as you wrote " Java Security Local Panel and something related with installer software". On the other side, I also had customers with no Java installed. It must be something in one particular user account that doesn't happen in a new account.
XML is not required when we install PSP.
[Additional note] Eventually, you have read that entry about installation issues when SP2 for PSPX6 is installed and I mentioned something with MSXML parser version. This is not the same issue here in this case.
If you can find the culprit and share it with us, this would be helpful.
