Re: PSPx7
Because it hasn't been announced yet.
But if you try and download the X6 trial you will get X7.
Shame that it needs a serial number though

Re: PSPx7
Hello, I'm so curious with where you can download the trial is PSPX7 but PSPX6. I just tried to download the trial build from http://www.corel.com and http://www.paintshotpro.com and both side is still PSPX6 version. Can you give more guidance?
Cheers

Re: PSPx7
Just go to the corel.com Web site, click on the "PaintShop" tab and on the next page click the "Download trial" button for PSPX6. You'll be getting the PSPX7 download: PSPX7_TBY30.exe.josephlin wrote:Hello, I'm so curious with where you can download the trial is PSPX7 but PSPX6.

But don't bother. It's not really a "trial" in the usual sense -- a valid X7 serial number is required to install it.

Hi Joe
Please can I have a serial number?
( but it is ASP that needs your attention - what about attempting to support all of the serious cameras announced at Photokina by the end of September )

Re: PSPx7
Is it possible that that was left there as a source for the beta testers to download and test? That may be why it does not install like a real trial. Perhaps some Beta testers may be able to enlighten us.

Hi Everyone,
I'm glad to see our special upgrade emails (exclusive to existing PSP customers only!) are beginning to reach you. We did have a snafu there around a mis-posted build--we're sorting things out.

Re: PSPx7
I got the update e-mail today. I wonder if the Instant Effects not working on X6 64 bit got fixed as a New Quick Preview is listed in the comparison chart-
http://img.paintshoppro.com/en/pdf/pspx ... -chart.pdf
It would have been nice if this was fixed by an update in X6 before X7 was rolled out.

Re: PSPx7
Hmmm....these sound interesting:
New! Magic Fill – Easily erase an unwanted part of your photo and replace it with a seamlessly matching background.
New! XMP support– With XMP support for RAW images, PaintShop Pro X7can now read and import data saved in XMP files.
New! Smart Edge – Choose this content-aware feature with brushes to help you keep your brushstrokes “inside the lines”.
New! Color Materials Palette– Find the color, texture or pattern you want fast with this redesigned palette, and create your own custom palettes to save your selections.
Enhanced: redesigned brushes, redesigned dialog box for red eye removal and for a few other effects, IPTC metadata support for RAW files, HDR photo merge.
I'll download the non-ultimate version this time. I only use the Perfectly Clear button in Aftershot Pro, but not the plug-in in PSP, and I rarely use FaceFilter 3.

Re: PSPx7
I got a pop-up after closing PSP X6 Ultimate this AM. I couldn't find anything on Corel about X7 .
I followed the link for the upgrade and it was in the basket didn't download it though to much money for an upgrade and especially now that I've seen
the list of additions to the program. I wish they'd upgrade the tools and get rid of those dang windows and upgrade their DN tool.....

Re: PSPx7
Still wishing for a locking Toolbar.....
. Does anyone know if Alienskin's Eyecandy Plugin will install & work with PSP X7 or do you still have to do the work around thing to use Eyecandy 7 plugins in Paintshop Pro x7
? When I look at Alienskin's website there is still no mention of Paintshop Pro listed in requirements. Only Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. This is one of the main things that has deterred me from upgrading. The XMP support was a nice upgrade, but most of the trivial upgrades are just not enough to say WOW!! Gotta have that! Face Filter and Perfectly Clear Plugins <<<Thanks, but no thanks. The effects of both of these Plugin filters can easily be mimicked with the standalone program. Come on Corel! Make me want to upgrade!
If you listened to your customers more there would be no need to reduce the price to make a sale.
Re: PSPx7
Well, darn it...my PSPx7 installation has been hung up for an hour on "Please wait while we reconfigure Microsoft Visual C ++ 2012 Redistributable." Anybody have any suggestions?
Update: I guess some Windows updates had stalled recently. Fixing that problem fixed the PSPx7 installation too. Whew!
