ASP 2.0.3.25 crashes/freezes on Linux Mint 17 TileMapper.cpp

Hi,

I week ago I discovered ASP2 and really like this tool. I'm still using trial version but frequent crashes currently discourage me from buying it.

ASP2 frequently (sometime few times per hour) crashes or freezes unexpectedly.
When it happens then no error is displayed, but in the ~/.AfterShotPro/AfterShotPro.log there's an error like this:

"BError: type = 1032, "Old tile list" in file ../src/Pipe/TileMapper.cpp:54"

When the application crashes, then the log is fairly short with just few dozens entries like that, but when the app freezes then this file grows quite fast. 30-40MB in around 30sec of hanging.

Few days ago I enabled OpenCL and increased I/O Threads to 2. But even before that ASP was crashing.
Since the problems intensified I tried to enable and disable OpenCL and also use various levels of OpenCL utilization.
That didn't help.

My H/W and OS info:

Lenovo W530 with NVIDIA Quadro K1000M, 16GB RAM, Ocz vertex 4 SSD , FHD screen.
Linux Mint 17 64bit. Kernel 3.13.0-24-generic. Nvidia's driver version: 331.38-0ubuntu7.1

just bought it today ,worked fine for like 30 min ... virtual memory going up to 220 GB (!!!)

Running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit
on a Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz × 2 machine
4gb of ram
graphics: Gallium 0.4 on NV96

Anyone an idea how to resolve this?

In general, reduce batch items in flight to one and switch off OpenCL. If that helps slowly re-enable.

in the mean time I did some test ...
as long as I'm working with JPG's there doesn't seem to be a problem ... as soon as the directory contains TIF files ...it seems to hang on those files.

any clue?
