I have been using the trial version of ASP2 since it was introduced and I've found several issues with the product which should be address.
The first issue I've had is something I experienced with ASP 1.
I am unable to view and therefore import images into my catalog if I save the image at 300dpi in Photoshop. I typically take a picture in large RAW format. Then I use ASP to make it look the way I want. Next, I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 to make any final modifications. In some cases, I save the image as 300dpi in Photoshop. When I save the file, ASP does not show the image. When ASP opens a folder, it shows a "file count" and the correct number of images show up. But when I look through the images in ASP, the image saved at 300dpi is not there.
This second issue occurs in ASP2 32 bit and 64 bit version.
I view the image and it appears just fine. Then if I move the "Fill Light" slider, the entire image gets pixelated. This appears to be a bug. In order to correct this, I need to open a new layer and then I can adjust the "Fill Light" as I want. This phenomenon did not occur in ASP 1. See attachment titled "fill_light.jpg"
The final issue only happens in ASP2 64 bit version
See attachment called artifact.jpg. The top image is the unedited image view in ASP2 64-bit. You'll notice an odd artifact by the ear. The artifact is barely visible but you can clearly see it. The second image is the image edited only in ASP2 64 bit version. The artifact is much more prevalent. The third image is the result of opening the file in ASP2 32 bit version and only using ASP to edit it. The artifact is not there.
Any help I can get on these issues would be greatly appreciated. Below is my system

Re: Issues with ASP2
I've never had any issues with tiffs or jpgs related to the dpi vaule in the file.
As this value is utterly useless anyway, I tend to set it to 1 in my files to confuse the clueless graphics designers
Can you make a sample file available?
Your fill light issue can be cured by turning off or reducing the strength of OpenCL.
As most plugins are still not available in 64bit, I suggest staying with 32bit for now.
cheers
