This is a complete replacement of an earlier posting that was based on some misunderstood findings. More tests have clarified the reported problem.
It appears PSP color management will not recognize, convert associated images or otherwise work with an Adobe RGB (1998) profile that was embedded by a camera. Two cameras tested are the Nikon D800 and D7000. I have not tested if PSP will work correctly with a camera embedded sRGB profile. Once you have a profile of any type embedded by Capture One, PSP RAW Lab or by the option presented when you "Save As .." PSP will later work properly with that profile.
So, the question now is ... how come?
Best wishes,
K
