audio sync problem
I m using corel x5 and my problem just started recently l used to edit video without any problems, now l shot a video @ 1080 when l m trying to sync the audio track with the video, the audiostarts to play earlier than video when previewing.l opened the audio wave to see whats going on and l realise the way it plays does not match with the wave, the song start with strings and the beat drops after 8 seconds, but when u loooking at the wave you can see that the beat not yet start but it will be playing already,l set my clips on time when l preview the project the song is starting earlier before time ,l didnot have this problem before does anyone know how to solve this

Re: audio sync problem
Were you using the same video type before? Made with the same codec?
If not, it's possible you don't have the right codec installed, the codec used isn't totally compatible with X5 or your system can't cope with the demands of editing a full HD video.

Re: audio sync problem
The problem is on the previewing only l m having original song in an audio track sep from video track while the video is on mute now l make them go along together as in a music video lipsinc.l posititon the first clip right on time move to next clip ,now l preview to see progress the song track starts before time and what l set previously is no longer on time ,l have quick time installed eversince l started using x5,the song track is playing on different timings while l neva move it

Re: audio sync problem
You should match the waveform and the (preview) image when you scrub the timeline frame by frame, not what you hear. Because audio and video are demultiplexed the audio is 'availabe' before the video 'needs' it. Didn't you experience this never before?
In the link hereunder you can find testvideo (1 frame synched audio bursts and video flashes) I made these testvids for testing lipsync problems in different playback situation after DV video was converted for MMplayer playback on projection systems, but I think you can use them for analysing your problem too.
