I thought this worked in 1.x - I highlight some pictures (between 4 and 40) and type in keywords for the pictures so I can find them easier. I expect it to write those keywords to each picture, but what 2.0.3.25 is doing is only writing the keywords to the last picture I selected.
Obviously that's not a time saver for me.
Anyone else have this happen, or am I remembering the behavior incorrectly?
I am running the 64-bit Linux version for Debian.
Problem setting keywords for multiple pictures at once?

It always has been that way when you use the metadata tool. Only the keyword tool allows tagging of multiple images in one go.

The other thing you could do is import the whole folder with the keywords that will be common to all the shots. This does insert the keywords into the metadata

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but what are you referring to when you mention the keyword tool? The one during import of a folder?afx wrote:It always has been that way when you use the metadata tool. Only the keyword tool allows tagging of multiple images in one go.

On the metadata pane there are two places where you can enter keywords, the metadata tool and below it the keyword tool.jakev383 wrote:Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but what are you referring to when you mention the keyword tool? Re: Problem setting keywords for multiple pictures at once?
Thanks for that. I had not noticed the difference between the two.
I'm actually using the bottom Keyword window (the keyword tool?) when I try and set keywords for multiple images. I had not noticed the upper keyword window before you pointed it out
So is what I'm experiencing not expected behavior?

The keyword tool should apply it to multiple images.
Unless you also have multiview turned on...

I do not have multiview turned on.
I need to rebuild my catalog anyway due to the pink static images I mentioned in another thread, so I'll see how it does after the lobotomy.
Thanks!
