WinDVD11 Recieves 3D signal but does not display in 3D

Post by theshoe »

I recently put a blu ray player into my media PC. I have it hooked up to a 3D TV. When I play a 3D blu ray it does not display in 3D it plays the movie but not in 3D. WinDVD 11 shows that it is receiving a 3D signal but the picture is not 3D. It shows as a 1.4 HDMI device in winDVD which is correct. Its getting a bit frustrating.

I have had a 3D blu ray player hooked up to the TV previously and have had no problems.

So
I have a Gainward GTX660 with 1.4 compliant HDMI
Its an intel I3 with 16gbs of RAM
I have a 1.4 compliant cable hooking the PC to the TV
I have a 3D TV :-)

WinDVD is receiving a 3D signal according to the software but does not display the picture in 3D. Any ideas?

what you need to do is go to nvidia control panel, set up stereoscopic, switch to 1080p 3d 24hz resolution. Then start up Windvd. should play fine in 3d then.
