I'm Baaaccckkk!

Post by Black Lab »

I still see some familiar names - how is everyone?

After a year and a half of schooling and the successful launch of my dog training business I am ready to get back into producing videos. I just want to do simple videos of training examples, but find that Windows Movie Maker to be too simplistic for my needs, yet I don't want to get into anything that requires a steep learning curve.

At the moment I have no plans to produce DVDs. I will only be producing files to upload to my website and Youtube. And I won't need fancy titles or effects. These videos will just be demos, but I'll want them to look nice and professional.

Being out of the loop for a while I was wondering how the new VS stacks up to previous versions (X4 Pro was the last I used). Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hi Jeff

and welcome back, its been a while, I hope you are keeping in good health.

Video Studio X7 has taken on a newer look, the biggest change must be the ability to set project properties to use HD sizes, something that earlier versions did not allow.

And you know whats coming next, give the trial version a run, that way you will see the changes for yourself.
We can then discuss the program with you.

Anyway nice to see you here…..

Hi Brian and Trevor! I don't think I'll be participating on this board like I used to. I have a new dog training business while still holding down a full-time job, so my time is at a premium. I jumped on here to see what I could find out about X7 and whether it's what I need or if it's overkill. By the looks of it it hasn't changed too much, so the learning curve will be minimal. Hopefully it's like riding a bike and once I start using it things will come back to me. I'll give it a test drive and see how it goes.
