I've checked-out COREL's site; spoken with their representative; downloaded the trial and can confirmed that at present AfterShot Pro2 will not deal with these Canon files. JPEGs - yes.

Now that I have seen the great interface and the functionality of this terrific COREL product, I am really wanting to make it part of my workflow. Oddly enough COREL does support my Canon SX50hs CR2 RAW files in their RAW LAB Product as part of PaintShopPro X6.

The Canon SX50hs is a majorly popular camera that provides the operator with 3 choices:

JPEG

JPEG+RAW

RAW

Canon obviously recognizes the value in providing these combinations to include RAW. If COREL supported these Canon SX50hs RAW CR2 files, within ASP2, COREL could finesse this market allowing their OWN reach into this prodigious growing band of shooters.
