Paintshop Pro X6 not recognizing some GPS information

I am a recent convert to Paintshop Pro and I have just returned from vacation and intended to use it to process the photos. But I have encountered a strange problem - having used the Basecamp software from Garmin to add GPS information from my tracklogs to the photos, some photos do not show up as tagged. But if I look at them in Windows explorer the information is there and other products recognise it as well.

By a few, I mean 2-3%. If I use Paintshop to copy the GPS info from another image and paste it on to one of them, all is then fine. I can't see any pattern to those that are ignored.

Anybody had any similar issues and have found a solution?
