Re: Blu-ray menu (chapter points)
Hi
You should only create/add chapter points that you wish to use.
If you need five (5) then only add five chapter points.
You may be best to save your project as a copy, File Save As—giving it a new name, that way you retain the original as a backup.
Using Settings -- Chapter Points Manager – Delete all chapter points – then add the five you wish to use, give them a meaningful name.
The latest version of Video Studio will use the names when accessing the “burner module”.
You can also add / delete chapter points from the burner module first window.
What version of Video Studio are you using?
The Bluray menu has 5 links per page, so you may wish to have 5 chapter points?

Re: Blu-ray menu (chapter points)
Hi
When you create Chapter points, playing the disc will allow you to navigate / jump to the next chapter point.
I think different disc players will give different options in how this is achieved.
Some may give you a chapter point “list” allowing you to choose any point.
Maybe I don’t understand exactly what you are trying to achieve?
You may be best in creating a Bluray folder rather than burning a disc.
You should be able to play this folder on your pc, just like playing the disc.
Saves on burning those coasters………….
You will need a Media Player that supports Bluray to play the menu………

Re: Blu-ray menu (chapter points)
So
I like use all created Chapter points, playing the disc will allowme to navigate / jump to the next chapter point. It is first and OK
When I will create menu ( blue ray) I like use 5 of chapter points as a point menu, and when I selected this point, movie will start from this chapter point
I think now is clear

Re: Blu-ray menu (chapter points)
Trevor -- I think he wants his cake and to eat it too... He wants the five main chapters so that, depending on his mood, he can simply open a new chapter and watch that, and can jump to the next chapter if he wants that. But he also wants to be able, while watching a particular chapter, to be able simply to jump *within* that chapter, to various points along its length but without those "jumping points" forming part of the main or chapter menu.
As far as I am aware, this cannot be done in Video Studio. The only way he could do it would be to make the five elements into separate videos, and insert those into the burning module where they would become the five main titles. And then each could be divided -- by time or scene -- into chapters, though not necessarily giving them names, just numbers... That way he could choose to watch a new title, and then jump to various points within that title before moving to a new title.
sylwester: when I use the term "title" here, I am not talking about the name of a video or chapter. In video editing terminology, a "title" is a main video, which can then be sub-divided into chapters.

Re: Blu-ray menu (chapter points)
Hi
The functionality of UVS10 compared to CVSX7 is much the same, in fact X7 has more capability and can do the same if not more than UVS10.
As Ken describes….
If you split your project into 5 sections, render each to a new video file (Share Create Video File –DVD) you will have 5 separate mpeg2 files.
To burn a disc
Start a New project- nothing in the timeline
Share Create disc – opens the burner module
Add Media Files – Add Video –browse to add the 5 mpeg2 files created above.
Now add chapter points to each clip, as Ken mentioned these are known as Titles.
Next (Gallery Window)
For each video added a link / thumbnail will be placed on the first menu page (Title Menu)
From the Gallery please choose to use a Thumbnail type menu these being similar to UVS10 menus.
Edit your main menu
Then edit each chapter menu, (X7) you access the chapter menus from the drop down panel below the preview screen.
Finally choose the project settings Cogwheel lower left, select the Navigation Controls options to your liking, probably “back to menu”?
