VideoStudio X7 .mov file won't play

Post by 33333 »

Hi folks, I hope you can help me out with this one. I can't see video .mov files to play in X7 after being imported. They only play sound and they only appear white. I've done some research and tried moving dll files to C:windows but to no avail.
I have lots of .mov files to edit! Please help!
Thanks
Shane

MOV is a container, it is the Apple version of the PC AVI.
There are literally hundreds of versions of both, so it is not surprising some don't work.
What is the file type in the MOV?
You can use something like Gspot ot avicodec to tell you.

I had worse problem with MOV files (from Olympus EM1) when I tried to inport. It crashed VS X7 without an apology!
After I ran the update on Corel site for X7:

All good now. No need to downgrade Quicktime.
