MOV audio problem

Post by kenwoodward »

MOV file clips opened in VS X7, do not have the original audio. I have played these files using QuickTime and there is no problem with the audio. I didn't have this problem in VS X6. Any ideas?

Just a possibility - are you operating VSX7 with service pack 1 installed?

If you are then try uninstalling it, as it appears to cause more problems than it was designed to solve with respect to .MOV files.

Hi Ken

You would have to re-install the program to remove the Service Pack.

Are you able to provide a sample video, maybe upload to DropBox or similar sharing site, we can then test the file to see if we have the same problems and hopefully confirming that SP1 is the culprit.

By the way SP1 seems to have been removed from the US Corel site, yet the last time I looked was available from the UK?
I have had SP1 installed for a while with no problems, don’t know if problems are related to NTSC installed programs????
