Is it possible to set ASP to apply noise reduction automatically base on ISO in the EXIF?
e.g. using the default NN:
ISO 400 -> 2
ISO 800 -> 4
ISO 1600 -> 6
ISO 3200 -> 8

It would be very easy to make a set of presets that did this ...
Re: Noise Reduction according to ISO?
Can ASP pick presets automatically?

As far as I know, it can't. On the other hand, it can apply presets to batches as you import them into your catalog. And if you shot a mixture of speeds, you can search the metadata after import, and select all the ISO 800. Then apply the appropriate preset. Does that get you where you want?

Re: Noise Reduction according to ISO?
My question is would you really want to? RAW processing is a very creative and personal experience and automating it would only degrade your results. Also I rarely use noise reduction as my first step. Besides tweaking is half the fun.
Re: Noise Reduction according to ISO?
To answer Dutchmm's question. I don't think I can do that as ISO is picked by the camera and it ranges widely. It could be ISO 250, 450, 1250, 2000, etc.
I have been applying NR manually for some time but when you have 100+ photos to go through, it gets boring quite quickly. I would rather do adjustment automatically first and readjust as I see fit. Also, High ISO JPEG files are significantly smaller after NR, making it easier for upload.
What I'm looking for is some sort of script that can run when importing photo. Or maybe auto generating the .xmp files with the presets?

Re: Noise Reduction according to ISO?
In that case, you would need to import your day's work into AS's catalog. This will allow you to select all the shots that have been taken at the same ISO speed, and apply the preset you would have wanted to apply via a script. It is slightly more work than running a script, I grant you; but a lot faster than making adjustments on a shot-by-shot basis. If you aren't familiar with using the catalog metadata search, the metadata browser is on the library tab in the right hand panel, and ISO is part of the Photo Info collection. There have been so few changes between version 1 and version 2 of AS, by the way, that it would still be worth your while to buy a copy of AFX's Aftershot Survival Guide. It will certainly enrich your output from AS.ISO is picked by the camera and it ranges widely. It could be ISO 250, 450, 1250, 2000, etc.
PM me if you need any more help on this?
