X7 help saving edited work where I left off
I would like to return to unfinished edit material so I can continue where I left off. When I save the edited work with a file name, I later go back to folders and clik the file name to import, but the work that I did is not there. How do I recall the work that I started and so I may continue where I left off?

Welcome to the forums!
Can you clarify, though, exactly how you saved the edited work with a file name? With the project in the timeline, did you go to File > Save or something else? And when you say you go back to the folders, which folders are you talking about? And is the program open when you "click the file to import", are you going to File > Open Project or doing something else?

Re: X7 help saving edited work where I left off
I save the work as "Save as" and gave it a file name. When I tried to retrieve it, The file name was in the "My works" folder. When I opened the file, I found the clips in the works space, but nothing in the time line so I could not continue.

Re: X7 help saving edited work where I left off
When you want to stop editing for a while you have two options "File >> Save" - or "File >> Save As" - these work the same as any other windows programmes in that Save As allows you to save your work with a new name - while save overwrites the previous file or prompts you to create a new one if one does not already exist.
So when you finish editing for that session all you need to do is "File >> Save" - this will create or save a "project file" which will be placed in your working folder - or any other folder you choose - the project file will have the extension .vsp
Now it sounds as though you are trying to open your project again in some strange way since you use the word 'import' - which is not how to continue editing.
When you want to continue editing the easiest way is to open up VideoStudio first - then go "File >> Open Project" and browse to the .vsp file and select it - - or choose the project name from the bottom of the file drop down if it is present - just like most other windows programmes,
Your project should then open and populate the timeline.
repeat the "File >> Save" frequently as with all other programmes.

Re: X7 help saving edited work where I left off
With the named project in the timeline, before you go to File – Save and exit, you can enter where you were in the project up via the time code. This is the digital number set that will display right down to a frame accurate time .It represents the time in hours, minutes, seconds then frames. So if you make a note of where you are in the project, you will be able to enter that value in when you next open the project and go straight to it.

Ken,
I don't see how your suggestion is going to help Peter. He states that when he opens the project file nothing appears in his timeline.
