Dripping Blood effect

Post by leechap »

Hi there
I am using PSP8. I have attempted create the dripping blood effect using this tutorial http://www.pinoy7.com/psptutorials/9/drips/p2.shtml

Once I get to Step 3 where I am supposed to Floodfill the text with red, Floodfill has no effect. I have attempted to carefully follow all steps but I'm obviously missing something. Could someone give this a try and see if you can make it work past that point?

thanks very much

No problems once the errors were corrected.
In step 1 the text setting "Floating = Selected" should read Creat as = Floating

In step 4 and Step 5, the opacity should be set to 100 to get clearer effects.

I am now past the Floodfill stage, the problem was Opacity was set at 0. That setting was not mentioned in the tutorial. But now I am unable to erase the top layer. sigh.. trial and error time...

Opacity again? It is a good idea to reset each tool to its default values each time you start using it.
Often when things don't happen as you are expecting it can be due to low opqcity (brushes and eraser), wrong layer selected, or in case of selection tools Remove rather than add or replace.
