Video Anti-Shake?

Post by Ron P. »

Does Ulead have an Anti-Shake filter for any of it's Video editing ?
I haven't seen any products on their site for this.

I had a old program disc laying around and looked at their website. http://www.arcsoft.com/products/videostabilizer/ I thought this might be quite useful for some ( ok a lot ) of my video clips... :)

A personal endorsement: I got the Depan filter (madeby Fizick) and I found it works very well. It is "made" for Video Studio - the interface is identical to the other filters.
Having just been away on holiday, and having done some wildlife photography out of boats with 40X zoom happening, some clips were in need of help  The documentation is quite correct; it does NOT replace a tripod, and some really bad video just cannot be fixed with anything. But the marginal stuff, which has the minor and really annoying jitters, looks much better after treatment.
(I have VS9, BTW)

Thanks,
I've downloaded Fizick's Depan filter and am currently trying it out. I have a video of my granddaughter riding her bicycle. I'm taking the video while walking by her. Needless to say it is rather jumpy.

I'll have read through the help files for Depan a few times. So far I haven't figured out how to get a decent result. I've had the bottom and sides appear smeared or real blurred, and not really any noticeable change in correcting the motion. I know that with this clip it's not going to stabilize it to the the extent the clip looks like it was a dolly shot..

Thanks again for the help :)
