Hi Paul
No you don’t expect too much.
Yvonne Chuang from Corel did reply to this post so I assume they are investigating the problem.

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
Right people, forgive my bluntness but does anyone actually have a fix for this issue or not, because all I'm hearing is people saying whether they have the issue or not, which isn't helping ANYONE with the issue. It would be wonderful if we actually had a Coral representative explaining how to fix this, I don't want to upload to Youtube, I want to upload to Vimeo, this is why I purchased this product and I'm nearing throwing the computer out of the window unless someone here is actually able to provide useful information.
There is an issue, many people have are experiencing it... so can we please get someone with a little tech background or Videostudio x7 experience to help us all resolve it.
Thank you in advance

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
Hi
You can still upload to Vimeo by logging on to your account via any web browser.
Upload the video created using Video Studio. So whats the problem............
I would use this approach as you can view / play the video to test quality before uploading.
I can understand your frustration that Video Studio does not automatically access Vimeo to upload your video.
Unfortunately we do not work for Corel, Yvonne from Corel did access this post so I assume something is being done by them.
The auto login via Video Studio does not give the option to view your files before uploading, that for me is a no no.

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
'The problem' is that I'm sold a product that promises easy uploads to Vimeo via the software. By all intents and purposes it looks as though it's been designed to make the process easy but the popup and log in to a Vimeo account, which then takes the user to the Coral page (a dead end) is not what I have paid for. Yes OK so there may be ways around it but you don't purchase a car to then push it just because it has wheels. I'm trying to establish whether I'm doing something wrong or if there is a bug, hence reaching out to the community but yet again the following comment is trying to teach me how to push!!
Is there a real fix to enable the feature to work as intended or not?

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
Hi
As I said, as far as I know Corel are working on a solution.
Then again I don’t know why its taking so long.?
You will be best contacting Corel Support, if your free support period has expired try asking the question on their Facebook page, this is staffed by Corel Employees, you should get a reply.
The Upload to Web option has been updated for X7 with log-in being required first to comply with the sites privacy policies, at least that is what I was told when I queried the change.
Certainly YouTube login works successfully, so no reason why Vimeo should have this problem or at least cannot be fixed.
Personally I don’t see how logging in to these web sites is any easier using Video Studio than using a tab on our browsers.
I did create a Vimeo account purely to test this problem, yes there is an issue.

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
Thank you for your time, I'm actually glad there's a problem with it, otherwise I'd continue pulling my hair out!
On purchasing and then registering the product by signing up to Corel I received a one off 'support' number to which I have used on this occasion so hopefully I'll hear something back shortly.
Thank you again for you time on this, enjoy the rest of your evening

Re: Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo
Hi
Thanks for that, the more people advise Corel of the problem the sooner it gets fixed
For what its worth I have also passed this problem on to Corel.
If you have not tried logging in to YouTube (which works), after inserting your login details you are asked that Video Studio controls your login to the site, then returned to the Video Studio panel with the YouTube , Facebook, Flickr and Vineo tabs at the top, then complete the render and upload process. Here there is also a link to Log-Out.
Unfortunately for Vimeo you are sent to a Corel web page, and that’s wrong
I assume the Vimeo process should be the same as YouTube
