Corel pop-up blocking Vimeo

Post by AvenueVid »

For the past week, Corel's home page pop-up has blocked our access to Vimeo. We've tweaked the privacy functions of Internet Explorer and Firefox, but nothing works. We can still upload to YouTube but not to Vimeo. If you know how to escape the pop-up, please let us know.

Hi guys
I cannot believe its simply a VS issue

You haven’t by mistake installed any add-ons to your internet browsers.
View your toolbars for unusual bars/plugins

View Programs and Features for names similar to :-

Brower Protect
Search Protect
Babylon

Search Protect was bad practically disabling Windows Auto Updates, with update fail errors.

Can you access Vimeo direct from your browser - that is without opening VideoStudio at all ?

Hmmm…I see what you mean.

When I try to log-in to Vimeo via Video Studio I get to the page to allow VideoStudio access to my Vimeo account. (that's Corel complying with Vimeo security policy)
When I accept that I am taken to a Corel web page trying to sell me their products, that's not what I need....It does not go to Vimeo

When I try to close the window it cancels the log-in?
It should take me back to VS to allow me to choose my upload option.

Is that what you are seeing?

Upload and log-in to YouTube seems to work ok.

You got it. This is exactly my situation. I don't have a flickr account but I have no problem logging in and uploading to youtube or facebook through CVSX7

Having read this topic I checked my access and I too have the same inability to upload to Vimeo via VS7 but not with YouTube. I too get a Corel screen inviting me to buy things or log into my Corel account. I had thought that perhaps logging into Corel may then have a link to upload, I didn't see one.

Strange!!!

Although this is not a crippling issue it would save a couple of steps if it would work.

Windows 7 64-bit
ie 11
firefox 31

I can access vimeo and upload to vimeo from either browser. The issue is strictly limited to when I try to use CVSx7.

I too can access Vimeo via my browser, Firefox 31, and upload that way. It just sticks in my craw that there is a software function that doesn't work as intended.
Perhaps I expect too much!!!
