Audio issue
I have created a project having used a couple of audio tracks all of which, once the project was rendered to an avi file, played fine apart from one track which playbacks with an intermittent clicking sound. I have used the audio filter in an attempt to get rid but to no affect? Why is this one track giving off this sound problem? Thanks.

Re: Audio issue
What was the source of the problem audio clip? What format is it (right click it in the VS audio timeline and select Properties)?

Re: Audio issue
Can we assume the click is not there when you play that clip in a separate audio player? One thing you could try is to convert the mp4 to standard .wav format and use that instead. If you don't have an audio editor, try the freeware Audacity program.

Re: Audio issue
It could be that your computer is doing too many tasks and the audio buffer keeps running out - try increasing the buffer size just a bit (not too much) and see if it affects the clicks. There is however a downside in that it will increase the audio latency of your system (delay) a bit.
I sometimes hear these clicks and the occasional crackle similar to that from a faulty cable connector, when processing multi-track audio, they don't always find their way into the rendered tracks, but nevertheless can be annoying and deceptive, at times making you think they're actually in the recording!
Another check to see if it is caused by the audio buffer is to find out if the clicks are in exactly the same position on the track each time you play it, if they're not then it's a good bet that it's the buffer, if it is then it may be due to other processing factors especially working with highly compressed mp3 files and you should be able to see the shape of the click in the waveform when zoomed right in.
