Can we use scripts to render in V7

Post by richflorida »

I have a several large video files that I render daily.

I was wondering if their is some way to have Videostudio run via script?
That way I could queue my big jobs at the end of the day and have them render overnight.

Thanks,

RIch

You can't use scripts as such in VideoStudio - but depending on exactly what it is you need to do you may be able to use "File >> Batch Convert"

What I am running into is a situation where I have many projects that I work on every day. If I render directly after getting each project ready I lose approximately 3-5 hours out of my day. What I want to do is edit and get each project ready and then batch submit the rendering at night. That way I can do the creative work during the day and leave the rendering for nights.

Thanks,

I was able to change the template resolution to what I need. I did a trial with a few small files and it looks good. I will try some larger files tomorrow.

Many thanks to everyone who helped. This render time has been a huge problem for me, it is such a relief to have a solution. This really should be in the user guide.

Can you not see "MPEG transport stream files" in the "Save as type" drop down ?

I was using the mpeg-4 save as but the resolution was too low. I had to make a new profile for the 1920x1080 resolution.

Everything works great now. Thanks for the help. You all have given me back 3-5 hours of my work day!
