Has anyone done this ? Which other products fit the bill best ?
What if anything can be retained of the edits made in ASP1 ?
Are there other products that will read ASP1 XMP files and do a reasonable job ?
What about the metadata keywords ?
Migrating photo library from ASP1 to other products ?

Re: Migrating photo library from ASP1 to other products ?
As I understand it Corel uses a propitiatory XMP format, so you are stuck with them. That said Aftershot Pro can save as a TIFF to be edited by other programs. So as long as you do not "edit & save back to your TIFF" you have your RAW saved at least to your last edit.
My suggestion is move on. Aftershopt Pro 2 falls flat, with one of the worst V2 upgrades I have ever seen. And with ASP1's disappearance for two years I have lost faith in them and move on to acdsee Pro 7 (which is on sale till July 12th). There are many really nice RAW editors out there, and in my opinion ASP2 has not kept up with the times.

Nope, each company does its own thing when it comes to raw conversion.madbrain wrote:What if anything can be retained of the edits made in ASP1 ?

Just export standard XMPs and other programs will pick it up.What about the metadata keywords ?
