Hi,
I'm a longtime user of PaintShop Pro but have just recently started using presets. I defined a few presets for the rectangle tool and would like to have a black and a red rectangle with different line properties.
However, it seems the colour of the lines are not saved as part of the preset, Is this intentional or a bug?
Willy
(Edit: I'm using the latest SP2 version of PaintShop Pro 64-bit)
Colour not included in preset?

Re: Colour not included in preset?
When using the preset did you have Retain Style ticked? In order to have the shape drawn as you saved it, this box must be ticked.

As far as I can see the Retain Style check box is only available for Preset Shape (callouts, arrows etc.), not for the Rectangle tool.trueblue wrote:When using the preset did you have Retain Style ticked? In order to have the shape drawn as you saved it, this box must be ticked.

Re: Colour not included in preset?
Presets on the tool options palette are only for the options in the tool options palette.
If you want to draw a rectangle with all of the same settings including color, you need to export it to a preset shape. Make sure the vector object is given a descriptive name inside the layers palette. Select the object then go to File -> Export -> Shape and give it a filename.
Once saved you can select it from the preset shapes tool. It will still be a rectangle, editable with the rectangle shape tool, and it will contain all of your settings as well as color. Also with "retain style" turned off you can change the colors. But this only works with preset shapes, not presets.

Aha, exporting to a preset shape was the hint I needed.LeviFiction wrote:If you want to draw a rectangle with all of the same settings including color, you need to export it to a preset shape.
