HOW to save the LINE IN for DV camera?

hi, i manage to record and write on a DVD but whenever i conecct my camcord (sony) to the PC i need to change every time the properties to LINE IN in order to get the sound from the DV camera. how can i save it so no need to change every time. thanks

What model is your camcorder, and how are you connecting it to your computer? Are you capturing DV .avi's? or some other type of video format?

What kind of computer is it? Desktop or Laptop?

Is the Line-in you are talking about for your soundcard? If so, I'm not sure why you need to adjust it for DV capture, because the video+audio should be transferred through one firewire connection (if you are connected via firewire).
