Photos Don't Show Up in ASP2 After Output
I was able to output files as Tiffs to Topaz PhotoFx Lab. However, after making the edits in Topaz the resulting images did not show up in the ASP file system. The images were available in Windows Explorer, Photoshop Bridge and PSP X6.

That is weird then. Anything about the generated file in the log file?

Re: Photos Don't Show Up in ASP2 After Output
In your AfterShot user folder there is a log file named AfterShotPro.log.
The location of your user folder can be found via Help->System Info.
When I run the external command (using gimp as the editor I get the following entries:
Before AS forks off the external editor I already see the TIFF file show up underneath the orginal NEF.
And once the external program saves the changes, AS automatically shows the changes on my box.

Re: Photos Don't Show Up in ASP2 After Output
You're sure that you have made the right settings when installing ASP 2? During the installation you can choose which file formats ASP 2 will display (RAWs, TIFFs, JPEGs) - perhaps you've missed the checkbox for TIFFs?
ETA: AFAIR unfortunately you can't change these settings after the installation. In Bibble 5 there was a section for this in the preferences settings, but with ASP 1 that section had been gone.

Re: Photos Don't Show Up in ASP2 After Output
I tried that but no luck. The output works fine if I use one of the presets. e.g. 16 bit Tiff but not if I output to a program. <ctrl E> works fine.lathspell wrote:You're sure that you have made the right settings when installing ASP 2? Re: Photos Don't Show Up in ASP2 After Output
Does the external editor (Topaz) perhaps use a TIFF compression method which ASP can't handle? I.e. ASP 1 doesn't show 8-bit-JPEG-compressed TIFFs here ... (Can't check with ASP 2 since my trial period is over.)dsigman wrote:...but not if I output to a program. <ctrl E> works fine.

The problem occurred even whenoutputting to PSP x6 although there is no problem if PSP is external editor.lathspell wrote:Does the external editor (Topaz) perhaps use a TIFF compression method which ASP can't handle?
