Any way to alter the color of preset shapes?
In the past I have drawn colored arrows using the line tool with an arrow. I wanted to use the preset shape arrows but didn't see a way of changing the color from basic black, which didn't show up well in this particular photograph. Anyway of changing the color from black (aside from doing a selection and using the fill tool or something.) TIA

When you've selected the Preset Shape tool, make sure that the checkbox "Retain style" is unchecked. Then you can select the colors you want for the outline and fill as usual in the Materials palette.

Zacabeb's way is the best. Since it's quick and up front.
If you still end up wanting to update it later. Then it needs to remain a vector.
If you keep the preset shape as a vector you can also edit the colors after the fact. Just select the shape with the pen tool or the pick tool and select new colors from the materials palette. Or you can double click on the shape and a properties dialog box will come up allowing you to change the line style, the width of the stroke, and the colors.
There is always a way to edit a vector after the fact, but only if you create it as a vector.
