I have to say I agree with most of the review. At issue for me is the poor/funky highlight recovery, and the lack of an easy side by side comparison.

AS is one of the few tools where you can do comparison edits (forget trying to do that in LR) or pan/zoom into several images.

This is not accurate.
I am using ASP very satisfactorily with two monitors, putting the Tools Panel (Right pane) and sundry others on my second monitor.
