Corel Videostudio x7 will not launch

Hi,
My daughter purchased Corel Videostudio x7 and it has installed with no problems. Our issue is that when we click on the icon to open the software it brings us up a screen with the name and a bar across the bottom that looks like it is trying to load and stays like this for a minute or two and then just disappears and doesn't open. We have checked that we loaded the correct 64 bit so would appreciate any help.

She initially downloaded the trial version but when she opened it on the first day it said that her 30 day trial had expired so she deleted it. She then went to the website and purchased the software. I have tried uninstaling and reinstaling but this hasn't fixed the issue that it just will not open.

She needs this software today for an assignment that is due tomorrow - yep I know - nothing like leaving it to the last minute but I won't go there.

While you shouldn't have to do it this way, what happens if you right click on the VS icon and choose Run As Administrator?

Another thing, when you uninstalled, did you also delete the "Corel Video Studio X7 Setup Files" folder from Program Files (x86)? It could be that something corrupt was in that original folder...

Yes tried running it as an administrator and had definately removed all set up files before reinstalling. Still doesn't work.

Corel provided a cleanup file, attached.

You could try that, if there were any left over files it should find them.
Although I have to say that one poster commented that it did not work too well and used other cleanup software before successfully installing.
