Dual monitors with x6

Post by brucet »

I've searched the forum and can't find a straight answer. So here goes.

I have an old desk top with a good monitor. It's my work horse when I'm not on the road with my lap top. The desk top needs to be upgraded. So my thoughts are to buy a powerful laptop and use it for pallets etc and tether the good monitor for editing/photos. (One good laptop would serve rather than a lap top and a desktop).

So where do I start with setting up such a setup? Or is it not possible with PSPx6.

If you can set up Windows on the laptop with dual monitors then no problem.
There is an option in PSP under Menu View > Dual Monitor which may suit your requirements.
I prefer to do my own thing, so I leave the Main Image on the primary monitor and drag all my Palettes etc. onto the secondary monitor. This works a treat.
I have also done something similar with ASP, where I put the Tools Panel and other panels on the secondary monitor.
