Command Line Switches / Arguments?

Post by cybrsage »

I launch WinDVD11 from Media Browser (MB) within Windows Media Center (WMC). One of the nice things is the ability to add command line switches/arguments to the executable (in this case, WinDVD.exe) to change what it does. I am trying to find if there is a command line switch/argument that tells WinDVD11 to close after the media is stopped...something that tells it to Exit upon Stop. This would return control to MB, which would automatically put me back into WMC. Everything smooth and seamless.

This command/argument should look something like /exit or /close or /{whatever}...and would be used like "WinDVD.exe /exit"

Thanks!

I emailed sMedio about this as well and received the following reply:

Unfortunately, WinDVD doesn't support a command line switches/arguments.
We also don't provide information about such funvtion.

Your understanding is appreciated.

Sincerely yours,
sMedio Customer Service Team

I am not sure if it really does, but they will not provide me the information about such fuction, or if it really does not support command line switches/arguments. I would expect it to at least support a silent install switch/argument...

Anyways, since I need such things (or a checkbox inside the program itself to do what a switch/argument would do), I will move onto one of the competitors - all of which support switches/arguments to alter the behavior of their product (or have checkboxes built into the config area to do the same thing).
