Bleached Tree Branch. Can it be recovered?

Post by wasnapper »

Hi,
I am trialling ASP against some other software and would be extremely happy with ASP if I can resolve the problem below.

I have an image of a walking track where the branch of the gum tree has caught the sun and is bleached out. I have tried n tried n tried but cant get a decent result.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this in ASP please.

I cant see how to upload it here either so you can look at it on flickr on this link

I am not sure what you wanted to achieve, but if you wanted to mirror the bleach out the trunk and bough, you could use the Nuance plug-in.

like this - but I only bleached bits of the trunk and bough

That's my take on an "anti-duotone". Other users who are more practiced than me at using the ASP palette could possibly get a similar effect (or even the effect you wanted) without the plugin.

Just put it on DropBox or one of the other file store sites.

Try the attached XMP.
HR Range and HR at 100, a bit of color correction and on stop exposure correction.
Not brilliant, but ok for salvaging a completely overexposed shot.

cheers
