If I open my JPG files and individually convert the file to a PNG file, I have no problem viewing the file in Windows Explorer. But if I use the batch process for the files, I cannot view the file in Windows Explorer.
I need to be able to view them in Windows explorer so I can move them to the correct locations on my hard drive.
I have over 200 files to covert right now, with more to covert in the future, doing them my hand individually is extremely time consuming.
I tried writing a script to do it, and I get the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Problems in conversions of JPG to PNG
I've just tried this with a jpeg in X5 version 15.3.0.8. When I save as a .png and when I batch process it they are the same. If you click Options in the Save As dialog are the same values set as the Options in the Batch Process window? Make certain that they are both PNG and not something similar like PSD or whatever.

Re: Problems in conversions of JPG to PNG
Thanks - I have been fighting with this for 3 days and never realized that I was choosing PSD rather than PNG.
Another set of eyes looking at this helped solve the problem.
Thanks again!

Re: Problems in conversions of JPG to PNG
No problem. The only reason I thought of that is because I've done the same thing.

Re: Problems in conversions of JPG to PNG
problem has been fixed - it was a user error - I kept choosing PSD rather than PNG
