Moving PSP to New Computer

Post by budbon »

I am using PSP and VSP on my old laptop. I just purchased a new laptop and want to move my licensing from one computer to the other. What is the process? I know I can load the Corel products onto my new computer, but how do I get new licensing?

Do you have the CDs for these programmes?

If you only have the ESD versions, find where you saved them. Just install and add the serial number.

I'm under the impression you can only use the program with one computer.

If you look at the PSP EULA, you can install it on up to three computers, but can only have it operating on one computer at a time. But things are different with Video Studio. Its EULA specifies that it can only be installed on one computer. We think this may be because of licensing complications with plug-ins like Dolby with Corel having to pay licensing fees for each installation.

In practice, many of us have installed VS on another computer or two, and even gone through the registration process, with no intervention from the EULA "police"...
